Cinemas around Thornton Heath

Vue

Valley Park Leisure Complex, 21 Hesterman Way, Croydon CR0 4YA, UK – 0345 308 4620

I have been attending the Purley branch of Vue cinema for a number of years and I enjoy my experience there every time. A nice and laid back atmosphere. The dim lighting within the cinema gives a mellow feel. As you would imagine like in most cinemas, the snacks are a bit on the pricey side of things but other than that, I like.

Good experience with helpful and friendly staff. Clean toilets and a relaxed atmosphere. Watched the star wars movie, weren't too expensive this time as my son only wanted popcorn and drink which cost £10.45 for both. (Phew, as Xmas round the corner) So overall total spend was just under £35. Not bad, good movie, definitely worth a watch!

Vue

Grants Entertainment Centre, 14 High St, Croydon CR0 1GT, UK – 0345 308 4620

Went to see Black Panther. Buying tickets was self service but you could also buy online. Tickets prices were cheap compared to other areas. As far as I saw you needed a credit card to buy tickets. On the first floor there was no staff at all. On 2nd floors you could buy beverages and snacks, maybe tickets as well but I'm not sure.

Enjoy coming here usually once a week. Always quiet. The foyer and screens are usually pretty clean and staff are nice. One issue is that the cup holders in some screens are really small that you cannot fit a large drink. Tad bit annoying.

David Lean Cinema

Katherine St, Croydon CR9 1ET, UK – 07804 051912

A cosy screen where you can enjoy alternative films.

A quaint and old-fashioned little cinema but they show some good uncommon films.
